Muscat

In June 2006, Veolia Water secured a 5-year management contract with an optional three year extension from the OWSC (Oman Wastewater Services Company), the state-owned company given responsibility by the Omani government for all wastewater services in Muscat, population 700,000.

Veolia Water's assignment is part of a very large infrastructure programme to collect and treat wastewater intended to provide the capital of the Sultanate of Oman with an outstanding service. Veolia Water will be bringing its expertise to help OWSC to reach the operational objectives that it has been set in terms of connecting homes to the network, good service management and financial profitability.
