Seureca in the Middle East

In the Middle East, Seureca has a forty year track record, having notably been involved in thedevelopment of water and sewerage infrastructure in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the 1970's and 80's. It is currently established in Dubai, via its subsidiary, Seureca Overseas, from where it manages its activities in the region. Key recent achievements include:

2007 - UAE, Emirate of Ajman - Master plan for wastewater services: Seureca prepared a 30 year master plan for Ajman Sewerage Private Company Ltd. Due to the current context of extremely rapid development, infrastructure was planned to be flexible in case of future changes from initial projections. The study was vital to modify currently planned infrastructure and ASPCL's business plan.

2005/06 - Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Full audit of water and wastewater services of Riyadh: Seureca carried out a thorough institutional, organisational and technical audit of the the General Directorate of Water, Riyadh Region, for both water and wastewater services. This allowed a fully informed business and development plan to improve and sustain services and helped prepare the creation of the National Water Company and private sector involvement in the management of water services.

2003/04 - Iraq - Sewerage master plan and design for the cities of Dohuk, Erbil and Suleimaniyah: Seureca prepared master plans and detailed designs of the sewerage networks and treatment plants for Dohuk (250,000 inhab.), Erbil (650,000 inhab.) and Suleimaniyah (600,000 inhab.)

2003/06 -Palestine - Bulk water production improvement in the West Bank :Seureca provided technical, legal, institutional and managerial capacity building and assistance to the Palestinian Water Authority to enable the transformation of the West Bank Water Department into a National Water Utility.
